In the Gospels, Jesus’ followers were often called “disciples”. But what exactly is a disciple? Words like ‘learner’ or ‘student’ are often used but they only go so far in defining what a disciple is. The disciples of rabbis in Jesus day weren’t simply students, they patterned their entire way of life after their master. And so it should be for us. A disciple seeks to live out everything Jesus’ commanded.
