This is the fourth message in the ALL IN series. This message is part 2 related to what it mean to be “In Christ” (one of our three main areas of self-understanding as a church here at Kirk Crossing). At the heart of this message is the idea that we are to be continually transformed by the Holy Spirit in character, knowledge, wisdom, and practices. The power of transformation comes from the Holy Spirit but, like a good gardener or farmer, there is work we must do as well to make sure that the conditions are right for the fruit of the Spirit to be grown in us. This message concludes very practically by commending Timothy Keller’s approach to daily prayer (from his book Prayer: Experiencing Awe And Intimacy With God) as a great way to ’till the soil of our hearts’ so the Holy Spirit’s work will be fully experienced.
