In this first message of the series, we discover that the people of God are utterly unique and special, unlike any other people on earth. We are unique because we are known by God, ordered by God, and set apart by God.
Being known by God is significant because it means that each person counts; we are known, loved, and called by God individually to be a part of His special people. Being ordered by God means that the Church is both God-arranged AND God-centered; the ancient Israelite camp pictures this. Finally, being set apart by God is part of what it means to be holy. Not only are we set apart from other people for God’s special purpose but we are also to reflect God’s holiness in our purity of life.
