Fit For A King: The Hidden Glory of the Cross #4
/

This message (3.29.20) centers on the warning of the King.  In Matthew 24 & 25, Jesus takes up the topic of the end of the age.  While it’s a difficult message, ultimately it is a message of hope, not fear, for God’s people.  Our takeaway from the warning of the king is that we should be hopeful, prepared, and busy.

We should be hopeful because history is in God’s hands and we can have the full assurance of faith that because of what Jesus has done for us on the cross we will be with him forever in the age to come.  We should be prepared because our King intends that by issuing his warning, we should seek to have our lives reflect his priorities, his values, and his purposes more and more each day; we should be preparing ourselves for the age to come.  Finally, we should be busy because our King has given us resources, abilities, and a mission to pursue (namely sharing the gospel with others).
