Maps are very useful for helping us picture the world, identify locations, and know where we are. But a map only goes so far. To see and experience a place, we actually have to go there. At Kirk Crossing we have what we call a ‘faith map’. It’s a way of picturing the most important things in the life of faith, why they are there, and how they relate to each other. Picturing these things is not enough, however; we must ‘go’ to each and take next steps.
At Kirk Crossing, our faith map has three broad areas: In Christ, In Community, and In The World. Each of these larger areas is divided into three smaller areas that help define it and make it more practical. In this series, we’re taking a close look at our map and discovering what ‘next steps’ the Lord is calling each of us to take.
The map looks like this:
In Christ: Character, Knowledge, and Wisdom
In Community: Worship, Connect, and Contribute
In The World: Know, Go, and Show
The first message in this series looks at the importance of Character and how it relates to our growth in faith.
